As I so often comment…the best time to make an image is right now. I like the closed shape of tulip blossoms that occur early and late in the day. The morning light was a bit to strong, but I really didn't have time to set and anchor a diffuser in the heavy breeze, so I made this graphic snap for an up coming book project with a promise to shoot it again in the softer evening light with possibly less wind. Upon my return that evening I discovered that a pesky squirrel had cut the blooms off for no apparent reason other than being a nuisance. Had I not made the morning image I would not have had anything from this year…and so it is with the camera and life…and pesky squirrels.
