My friend Steve suggested the Fuji MCEX-11 and MCEX-16 Macro Extension tubes for *closeups with the XF 90/2.0. There is no glass in these tubes, they simply move the lens further away from the sensor to reduce the working distance of the lens, and must be removed for normal use. They do have contacts to pass through Autofocus confirmation and Aperture information. I intend to use them alone, and stacked for closeups of bugs and abstract studies.
*True Macro photography is it’s own unique genre of technical pursuit for those with the patience of rock. I marvel at the work it’s practitioners create…but it’s not for me…I have the patience of water.
